METAPHYSICS | Laura has a deep love of Hatha Flow and Yin Yoga and sought sangha regularly in PNW studios and on West Coast retreats, later becoming a teacher herself. She attended a weekly Buddhist-based Insight Meditation Group while living on Capital Hill in Seattle. Laura has experienced a rich journey of self exploration as the result of her consistent practice of both yoga asanas and meditation.
Her immense curiosity around metaphysical questions inspired her to read a range of books on spirituality, creativity, quantum physics, psychology, the energy body in search of answers. Taken with Barbara Brennan’s book “Hands of Light”, she ventured into the study of intuitive healing, was attuned in Reiki @ NW Healing Studio and then learned Cranio Sacral Healing, from Etienne Piersman in nearby Tijeras NM.

Here we find connection, beyond Ego, to a rich source of creativity that underlies the energetic experience of the Universe itself.
ENERGY HEALING | HOW THE BRAIN & CONSCIOUSNESS EVOLVE THROUGH HEALING AND EXPANDING
We are living in a time when Energy Healing is still very much misunderstood. I approach it from a place of intuition and science but know that it will take more time for this process to be quantified as having substance. The International House of Reiki in NYC used EEG hookups in a study on the Healer and the Client to try to understand what is happening in the brain and in turn each person’s energetic system during a healing session. It was learned that the brain of the Energy Healer, if advanced, may move through four different brain wave states as they meditate in to Healing patterns of energy in their hands: 1) beta- relaxing 2) alpha - amplified in energy healing 3) theta (subconscious) = memory, creativity, insight and spiritual connection offers content for this experience 4) delta - empathetic, psychic opens to the Universal Mind and is quiet.
The Awakened Mind: is the meditation pattern + quiet, conscious, external awareness in waking states, sleep or channeling This mind state is open + flowing with clarity, creativity, insight, spiritual connection and psychic awareness - an aha state. The Evolved Mind: unity, bliss & illumination. Awakened magnified by profound awareness of Divine Light - an experience of light, bliss, oneness, psychic healing and absolute understanding. Externalized this is the Enlightened Mind of cosmic consciousness.
Healing light travels from 0 to 30 hz frequency range - concentrated in 7.8 hz bordering alpha/theta where peak meditation and healing take place. Gamma waves are super high frequency. These may exist stretched out above an awakened mind pattern and then back to a no mind. Gamma can synchronize all regions of the brain in to a high level of coherence that diminishes electrical noise enough for the person to open to frequencies higher than the human brain normally picks up. The Healer producing gamma is a radio set whose dial suddenly turns to higher-frequency stations not available before. But the “chatter” in these higher frequencies is not the usual noise.
Instead, because gamma’s higher frequencies contain photons of light with more energy in them, these frequencies feel like to people spiritual ecstasy. Gamma would therefore conduct a supercharge of energy. This may show up in the 30 to 44 hz range. Gamma may be produced in deep meditation states: as the result of intentional focus like on a mantra, unity consciousness and loving compassion. This allows high voltage light to be conducted in to people in need. Some people need super charged energy found in the 40-100 hz which fills the body with high powered photonic light. It comes in like lightning. 0-30 offers less photonic energy but can create a steady output of photonic light energy to the client vs a lightning bolt vs 40-100 is fewer photons but powered up light.
REIKI
Brain wave frequencies can indeed cascade out via harmonic wave motion in to every cell + atom in the body. The Healer then jump starts the body electric for the client, instructing repair systems to kick in.
Light flowing in to every level of one’s being carries intuitive insights in to the mind, love in to the heart, & illumination to the spirit. Healing energy output ripples out into infinity.
